Crowley: Introduced species

Burning Bush (Euonymus alatus)
42.25006, -71.63126
This species is an introduced species that is invasive, as it was originally from Asia and introduced to North America. Burning bushes have been prohibited in Massachusetts since 2006 because it is considered a noxious weed; birds that eat the berries of the burning bush deposit the berries elsewhere, and this burning bush growth wipes out native growth. Therefore, the species is considered invasive and no longer allowed in MA.
