Harris: Mutualism



Pollination is an example of mutualism because as the pollinator gets nectar from the flowers it also spreads the flowers' pollen onto other flowers.

 In the first video, a Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) is pollinating the plant lamb's ear (Stachys byzantina).

 In the second video, a bumblebee (Bombus vagans) is pollinating the plant Penstemon barbatus.
