Natale: Instinctual Behavior

This is a Pelecanus occidentals.  It was found at 27°30'39.43" -82°42'43.12".  Instinctually, the bird opens its beak really wide in order to scoop up a large amount of water hopefully containing a fish to eat.  The large beak also helps the bird to eat larger fish.
This is a Lontra canadensis. It was found at 42°15'50.76" -71°45'57.84.  Instinctually the river otter will stand on its hind legs if it senses another organism nearby in order to be forewarned if a predator is in the area so it can defend itself.
