Egan: Fungal Reproductive Structures

Corrugated Cap Mushroom
 Psathyrella delineata
42.325047,-71.376801
The Gill of the mushroom, located beneath the cap, is the fertile, spore-producing part of the mushroom. These mushrooms sexually reproduce when their spores (microscopic reproductive agents) are carried away by the wind or fall to the ground beneath the cap of the mushroom. These dispersed spores give way to new mushroom life.
