Natale: Parasitism

This is a Dama dama with a Musca Domestica on its back.  It was found at 42°03'53.02" -71°34'51.59".  It is an example of parasitism because the deer is annoyed by the fly but the deer provides a place for the fly to rest and an easy way to move from one place to another.  The fly also can transmit diseases to the deer resulting in illnesses or even death.  The fly benefits while the deer suffers from the presence of the fly on the deer's back.
