Sullivan: Types of Carbohydrates

Lactose, a disaccharide, is found in milk from cows (Bos taurus)

Fructose, a monosaccharide, is found in honey.

Starch, a polysaccharide, can be found in pasta from wheat (Triticum aestivum).

Stachyose, an oligosaccharide can be found in small red beans (Paseolus vulgaris).
Cellulose, a type of polysaccharide can be found in celery (Apium graveolens)
