Byrne: Examples of Reproductive Isolation

Both of these organisms, now extinct, lived in the jungles of South America, around Peru. Many generations of reproductive isolation brought rise to these giant relatives of the sloth (Lestodon armatus) and the armadillo (Glyptodondt).
