Crowley: Instinctual behavior

Blue Crab (Callinectes sapidus)
41.81636, -70.00402
As I approached the mother and baby crab, the mother instinctually ushered her baby underneath her body and shields it with her claws. She then began to rapidly scurry in the opposing direction in order to get away from what scared her. It was her instincts that caused her to protect her young against potential predators.
