Slayton: Animal Adaptation for Specific Environment

Camelus bactrianus
42.051807, -71.63117

The bactrian camel's humps store fat, which allows the camel to survive for long periods of time without food and water. This is a necessary adaptation for survival in its desert environment.
Ara chloroptera

The green-winged macaw's large beak can generate 2,000  pounds per square inch of pressure, allowing it to open the abundant hard nuts found in its environment.
