Krishnan: Aposematic Coloration

Aposematic Coloration is a warning to predators. The bumblebee (*Bombus*) (top picture) has a bright yellow and black coat, which is an indication of stingers to predators. This picture was taken at 37.8087° N, 122.4094° W.

The Blue Tounged Skink (*Tiliqua sp.*)  bars its blue tounge as a warning to predetors, another example of Aposematic Coloration. This is found at South Wick Zoo (42.0647272,  -71.580996).
