This internet article above is an article of Naegleria fowleri which is a type of amoeba. The amoeba was responsible for the death of a 9 year old boy in Minnesota, a few days after he swam in Lily lake. These types of amoebas can be found in lakes in all across the country, including Massachusetts. The amoeba has a type of meningitis which killed the boy. There was only 40 death in last from 2001-2011 from this type of disease. Amoebas are types of organisms in the kingdom Protista.
